What is Amazon Key In-Garage Delivery?
Amazon Key In-Garage Delivery is the option to have Amazon packages securely delivered inside your garage. In-Garage Delivery aims to provide Prime members added convenience and security in a number of ways, including by helping to protect against weather damage or missing deliveries, ensuring expensive or fragile orders are kept safe, and also offering the ability to receive Amazon packages inside the garage, whether they are home or away.
How does In-Garage Delivery work?
After linking your compatible myQ smart garage door opener—a garage door opener you can control with an app on your phone—to Amazon Key, all you need to do is select an In-Garage Delivery option at checkout. We’ll take care of it from there. When a delivery driver arrives at your home, they scan your Amazon package to request one-time secure access to your garage. Once Amazon Key verifies the package and driver’s location, the garage door will open. The delivery driver places your package safely inside, exits, and closes the garage. Once it’s closed, they can’t open it again without another delivery for your address.
How much does Amazon Key In-Garage Delivery cost?
As a limited-time launch promotion, Amazon Key In-Garage Delivery will be free for eligible Prime members until 3/31/2025. After the promotion ends, Amazon Key In-Garage Delivery is $1.99 CAD per order. This fee is waived when members use Key Delivery - Pick Your Day, where they choose the day they want their order to be delivered.
Can you use In-Garage Delivery with any garage?
In-Garage Delivery works with compatible myQ smart garage door openers. To get set up, simply link your garage to Amazon Key in the Amazon app and turn on In-Garage Delivery. Then, your In-Garage Delivery options will appear at checkout. It’s that easy.
