Amazon proudly participated in the Tour CIBC Charles-Bruneau, where more than 900 cyclists from across the community ride together to show support for ending pediatric cancer. 2024 marked Amazon’s fourth year of involvement in the cause, showing our support for fighting childhood cancer and supporting local families.
This year, Amazon has donated almost $50,000 to Fondation Charles-Bruneau. In addition to financial support, Amazon also donated gifts to children at the event, bringing joy and smiles to their faces.
Gabrielle Savard, Event Coordinator at the foundation, shared her gratitude, saying, “The event was a great success, and the young heroes battling cancer were so happy with their gifts. Amazon’s generosity and support truly made a difference, bringing smiles to so many faces. It was a pleasure to witness those reactions.”
"At Amazon, we're passionate about giving our teams opportunities to give back and support the communities where they live and work," says Jean-François Héroux, General Manager of the YUL2 fulfilment centre.
Amazon also provided transportation bike blankets for the event and supported logistics by supplying Amazon vans and drivers to deliver necessary items. This year’s event saw the participation of 17 local Amazonian cyclists from our YUL2 fulfilment centre and local sortation centres, and AWS business teams who showcased their dedication and teamwork in support of the foundation.
Amazon remains committed to making a positive impact through our ongoing partnership with the Fondation Charles-Bruneau.. We are grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such a meaningful cause and look forward to continuing our collaboration in the years to come.
