People from all walks of life come to Amazon to develop their careers, and Amazon’s Canadian workforce now has more than 46,000 people working in corporate and Operations roles.
In addition to competitive pay, Amazon provides eligible regular employees with leading benefits, including medical, vision and dental coverage and a group RRSP plan.
In 2024 alone, Amazon is investing more than $100 million toward pay increases for customer fulfilment, and middle and last mile logistics employees in Canada, a 54% increase over our 2023 total investment in compensation.
We’re helping local businesses and not-for-profit organizations reach customers across the country.
In 2024, Amazon launched its first official collaboration with the Royal Canadian Legion to offer supporters the opportunity to purchase lapel Poppies and other official Remembrance items in the Amazon.ca store. Customers could visit a special dedicated storefront to make donations of $2, $5, $10, or $20 and receive a commemorative lapel Poppy. One hundred per cent of the funds raised through these donations went directly to the Legion’s Poppy Trust Fund, which provides support to veterans and their families.
Amazon is proud to partner with Les Produits du Québec to encourage customers to shop local by showcasing its three certification brands: Product of Québec, Manufactured in Québec and Designed in Québec, which guarantee that a product is truly made in Quebec. Member companies selling their products on Amazon.ca benefit from greater visibility while customers have access to clear and transparent information, making it easier for them to choose local products.
We’re empowering Canadians to discover exciting new career paths.
Your Voice is Power - an in-school curriculum program presented by TakingITGlobal, Amazon Future Engineer, and Amazon Music that teaches coding skills to middle and high school students while facilitating important discussions on the First Nations, Inuit, and Métis experience – reached more than 25,000 students and teachers across Canada in 2024.
The Centre Lasallien, located in Montréal, Quebec’s Saint-Michel neighbourhood, teamed up with AWS to open the first AWS Think Big Space in Canada. This dedicated educational hub offers students, educators, and local residents the opportunity to discover and explore innovative and imaginative ideas in the STEAM fields through a range of learning paths, including coding, programming, robotics, and much more.

Since 2015, Amazon MGM Studios has filmed over 40 Amazon Original series and films in Canada – including 2024 releases like The Sticky, a fast-paced, dark comedy series inspired by a real-life heist that made global headlines in 2012, which saw more than $18 million worth of maple syrup stolen from Quebec's national reserves. The Tragically Hip: No Dress Rehearsal held its world premiere in September 2024 at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), where it won a 2024 TIFF People’s Choice Award for Best Documentary.
Amazon Music was proud to be the title sponsor of the country’s biggest night in songwriting, the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, on September 28, 2024.
