Amazon offers returns with no box, tape, or label needed

Our goal at Amazon is to make buying online as easy as possible, and help you love your purchases. That’s why we offer free product support to customers once an item is purchased, helping with product setup, product use, or troubleshooting issues.

We know there may be times when the item you ordered didn't work out as you hoped, or you simply decided it was no longer needed, so we make returns convenient and easy. Amazon offers more than 4,000 drop-off options in Canada, including Staples and Purolator, and select Couche-Tard and Canada Post locations. The best part? Most returns do not need to be packaged or labeled—we’ve got that covered. To make these returns even more convenient for customers, we’ve designed a system that helps minimize the need for additional shipping boxes—eligible items can be dropped off in the original manufacturer’s packaging.

Here are the convenient ways you can return an Amazon purchase or gift. Keep in mind that the specific return options shown in your account can depend on your location, the seller, item, or reason for return.

To initiate a return, customers initiate a QR code by visiting the Amazon.ca “Your Orders” page online or in the mobile app, clicking “Return or Replace Items”, and following the prompts. Customers then bring eligible items to the drop-off location in the original manufacturer’s packaging, for it to be packed and shipped at no extra cost.

Eligible Amazon items can be dropped off at the full-service shipping area inside Staples’ 298 locations across Canada. Bonus: They may also give you an in-store coupon to use while you’re there.

If you live near a Purolator location, it will show as one of your drop-off options for label-free, box-free returns. 

Select Couche-Tard and Canada Post locations accept eligible Amazon returns. When you initiate the return, you’ll see available options near you.

For customers who prefer to choose a packaged drop-off option, that choice will remain in addition to other options, like label-free, box-free pickup from Intelcom. All return options will be clearly shown in the Returns Center to ensure customers can select the available option that best suits their needs.
