On March 17, fans came together ahead of the highly anticipated Prime Monday Night Hockey match-up between the Calgary Flames and Toronto Maple Leafs to celebrate their passion for the sport in a truly unique way. LEGO Canada and Prime Monday Night Hockey hosted a special building event at Union Station where fans got hands-on in the creation of a one-of-a-kind hockey mural made entirely of LEGO® bricks.

A Hockey Mural Built by Fans, for Fans
Toronto’s Union Station was buzzing with excitement as hockey fans of all ages gathered to contribute their constructed LEGO piece to the Champions Are Built mural. Composed of 41,472 LEGO bricks, this one-of-a-kind masterpiece came to life throughout the day from noon to 10pm, with fans working together to complete the ultimate tribute to Canada’s game.
Adding to the excitement, Toronto Maple Leafs’ beloved mascot, Carlton the Bear, made a special appearance, hyping up the crowd and posing for photos with fans as they placed their LEGO bricks.

Beyond the mural, visitors experienced a full lineup of interactive activities, including exclusive photo opportunities with one-of-a-kind LEGO hockey models LEGO Certified Professional Graeme Dymond, and a custom LEGO brand store experience through QR codes linking to unique digital content.

From families with young builders to die-hard hockey fans, the activation brought together people from all walks of life to celebrate their love for the sport in a creative and unforgettable way.
