In Canada, workplace romances are common, with approximately one-third of working Canadians either having been or are currently involved in a romantic relationship with a co-worker[1]. Amazon is no exception: with more than 46,000 employees and 70 facilities across the country, the company brings together a talented team of individuals who work hard every day to create a great experience for customers, employees, partners, and their communities.
Some couples met on the job, while others joined Amazon together, bringing their strong partnerships into the workplace. Whether they work side by side or in different departments, these couples inspire each other to grow, celebrate milestones, and offer daily support.
In honour of Valentine’s Day, meet some of the couples at Amazon.
Fawn, Process Assistant & Raymond, Learning Trainer at YHM1 (Hamilton, ON)
Fawn and Raymond’s love story began long before their time at Amazon. They met in 1987 while moving into a new building. Though Fawn initially found Raymond a bit annoying, he was immediately smitten. Their playful banter eventually turned into something more, and they’ve now been together for more than 30 years.

The couple joined Amazon together in November 2021, starting in different roles – Fawn worked in the receiving department and Frank worked with Amazon Robotics. Since then, their careers have grown.

Despite working in different departments, they often collaborate, whether it’s helping each other with projects, sharing insights, or offering advice.
Their favourite part of working at Amazon together? The ability to support each other while still maintaining independence in their roles.
One of their most memorable experiences was travelling together to help launch Amazon’s YYC4 robotics fulfilment centre in Alberta. It was an unforgettable opportunity to grow both professionally and personally.
As they look ahead, both Fawn and Raymond see themselves continuing to grow into more senior leadership roles at Amazon.

Their advice to other couples working together?
“Don’t get in each other’s way. Have your own individual experiences, but always come together as a team when it matters.”
Rebecca & Ashley, Associates at YHM1 (Hamilton, ON)
Rebecca and Ashley’s love story began in 2022 when they both started working at Amazon’s YHM1 fulfilment centre. At first, they were just co-workers—Rebecca admired Ashley’s kindness and support, while Ashley saw Rebecca as social and outgoing. Over time, their connection grew, and in October 2023, they officially started dating.

Working in the same department packing customer orders has been a big part of their journey together. Their ability to understand and support each other, both professionally and personally, has made them a strong team at work and at home.
One of their most memorable moments at Amazon was walking in the 2024 Toronto Pride Parade alongside the Amazon float, proudly carrying the banner and celebrating their community. They are proud members of Glamazon, an employee group for anyone interested in LGBTQIA+ issues, events, meetings, and information.
Outside of work, Rebecca and Ashley share nearly every moment together. They keep a healthy balance by maintaining professionalism on the job and making sure to leave work at work, focusing on quality time at home.

Looking ahead, they hope to continue growing within Amazon, setting their sights on management or training roles in the next five years.
Their advice to other couples working together?
“Don’t be afraid to work together. Communicate, leave work at work, and most importantly, make time for each other outside the job.”
Ashaben, Associate & Savankumar, Process Assistant at YHM1 (Hamilton, ON)
Savan and Asha’s love story began in India, where Asha first noticed Savan performing Garba (a traditional Gujarati folk dance) and was immediately drawn to him. She reached out on Instagram, and soon after, they met at a family wedding, where their connection quickly blossomed into love. They got engaged in May 2019, married that August, and shortly after, Savan moved to Canada for his studies. After 2.5 years of long-distance dating, Asha finally joined him—a moment they both cherish.
In May 2022, they started working together at Amazon YHM1, initially in different departments before training alongside each other in various roles. Savan was promoted to Process Assistant (PA) in June 2024, leading Asha to explore opportunities in different departments, including ‘inbound’, where products are received and stored in inventory for purchase or amazon.ca and then later ‘outbound’ where she currently works, where customer ordered items are picked, packed and loaded into trucks. Although they no longer work side by side, they still enjoy carpooling, taking lunch breaks together, and supporting each other’s careers.

Their journey at Amazon has strengthened their bond, giving them the opportunity to develop new skills and grow both professionally and personally. Looking ahead, they aspire to take on higher leadership roles and continue developing their skills.
Their advice for couples working together?
“Align your shifts that makes sense for your relationship, support each other’s growth, and take advantage of Amazon’s opportunities to build a strong future together.”
Joanne & Nitharson, Associates at YYZ4 (Brampton, ON)
For Joanne and Nitharson, Amazon has been more than just a workplace—it’s where their love story began.
“We’ve been working together since 2020 in the same department, and I owe Amazon because I found her here,” says Nitharson.
Their first conversation happened at their workstation, where a simple offer to help a fellow Amazonian turned into something more. Over time, they discovered how similar they were and how easily they made one another smile, making the workday even more enjoyable.
Both Joanne and Nitharson work in the outbound, the department where customer ordered items are picked, packed and loaded into trucks, where they often assist each other, especially during the busiest times of the year. “I always use my accrued ‘swag bucks’, given to me by my manager, to purchase company swag like T-shirts, hoodies, water bottles and other amazon branded merch, to get something for her than for myself,” Nitharson shares. “My shifts go by faster because of her.”
Shreya, Area Manager & Mohan, Operations Manager at DVV5 (Burnaby, BC)
Shreya and Mohan’s journey began in 2018 at Amazon Logistics (AMZL). As colleagues navigating the fast-paced world of Amazon, their friendship naturally deepened into something more.
“Working at Amazon has helped us develop a strong understanding of each other’s professional goals,” says Mohan “It’s given us the ability to offer guidance and support in ways that only someone in the same industry can.”
Their careers have grown alongside their relationship. Today, Shreya is an Area Manager, while Mohan is Operations Manager. They continue to be each other’s biggest cheerleaders, celebrating successes and providing encouragement.
“We’ll always be happy we joined Amazon—because here, we found not just careers, but a lifelong partnership.”
Kaylee & Ozzy, Associates at YHM1 (Hamilton, ON)
When Kaylee and Ozzy met at Amazon in the spring of 2023, they quickly became friends. By May 2024, that friendship had turned into something even more special.
“Working together makes everything easier,” says Kaylee. “We get to spend our breaks and free time together at work, and having the same shifts makes weekend plans effortless.”
Both Kaylee and Ozzy work as inbound associates across multiple roles where they receive products on our loading docks from manufacturers and sellers, unload and unpack pallets and boxes, and store items in inventory for purchase on Amazon.ca. This means they often tackle various tasks side by side in their department. “We enjoy helping each other out—it makes the job more fun and brings us even closer,” Ozzy adds.
Jacqueline & Dieudonné, Associates at YOW1 (Ottawa, ON)
For Jacqueline and Dieudonné, Amazon is just one chapter in their incredible 42-year journey together.
“Working for the same company allows us to understand and support each other in a unique way,” says Dieudonné. “At work and at home, we make a great team.”
Over the decades, they have motivated each other to grow, succeed, and navigate life’s ups and downs. Their story is proof that love, when nurtured with care, can thrive across a lifetime—whether in a fulfilment centre or beyond.
From new connections to lifelong commitments, these Amazon couples show that love can bloom anywhere—even in the busiest operations facilities. This Valentine’s Day, we celebrate them and the many others who have either joined their significant other or who found their person, right here at Amazon.
Happy Valentine’s Day to all Amazon employees!
